Dan Toon the Design Function Lead within Mclaren Applied Technologies Design Group, advocating research-led design which recognises the value of combining science, technology and engineering with the creative disciplines to deliver life improving innovations. He currently leads several programmes in Health and Consumer Electronics, focussing on improving health outcomes by collecting real-world data to provide insight for clinicians, strategic decision makers and patients to act upon.
Dan has over 10 years’ experience working and leading commercial and academic projects in technology and innovation utilising his degree in Product Design Engineering and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. For his doctorate he investigated the use of advanced manufacturing technology in elite sport and formed an extensive understanding of Additive Manufacturing, ergonomics and human performance.
